The Physics present Three Piece: a three-track release that takes listeners deeper into the world of the trio from distinctly different angles:

Coronas on Madrona is a classic in-the-wind anthem featuring Maniac B of The Stay Hi Brothers with production from DJ Nphared. My Place is a slow jam turned on its head, a departure from rap altogether. The track represents the group’s evolution to a more soulful sound. Finally, Jet Set is a day in the life of the workingman Monk Wordsmith. Over Justo’s pristine production, Monk captures what a white-collar hustle means to the hip-hop generation.

With the Physics’ next LP, Love is a Business, nearing completion, Three-Piece is just a glimpse of what’s to come from one of Seattle’s most versatile groups in 2010.

Make sure to peep out Life Cycle’s debut release “City Of Rust”

After the well received release of “City Of Rust” in June 2008 and a year of regular shows in Seattle and Tacoma, Life Cycle is back in 2009 with The Grounded EP. Grounded is a new Life Cycle. Brothers Joshua J and Burn One create beats that are hard hitting and draped in synthesized sound. DJ Hanibal comes correct with sharp cuts fitting of a top notch Hip Hop DJ. On “Grounded…”, LC brings back some familiar faces from “City Of Rust”. Alex Anderson drops some funky Guitar on “Bang Out” and Nick Jensen is back to lace some smooth vocals to “Things Change”. The Grounded EP stays true to the depth of “City…” with honest lyrics like “…Here I stand as the world goes crazy/ Just tryin’ to make sense of shit seen lately…” (Joshua J) and “…I try to master art cause when I pass,depart/ I leave my life on these masters like your Mastercard…” (Burn One). The Grounded EP is another great release from a Seattle Hip Hop scene that is standing up to let the world know they are here to stay.
